My favorite iphone photos from the year

I dropped my phone in an enchilada, so it stopped working.  Luckily, I went to the apple store (where I felt like I was in the future) (and then I felt old for feeling like I was in the future, because a young person would just roll with the people checking you out without a checkout desk), and they gave me a new phone.  Before that though, I had to back up all my pictures, so all 1,000 of them are on this computer.  So I thought I'd post some of my favorites.

Grandma and Poppa

This was a busy weekend, so my parents helped out a lot with the kids.  They had a blast, and my mom always takes pictures of them, which is helpful, since sometimes I forget to capture these moments.  Ruby has started to say "poppa", which is exciting, since she still only likes to say a select few words.  When they have to leave, Ruby runs to the door, screaming (not really a confidence booster, but I'm glad that she likes spending so much time with them!).

Also, the kids got to see their Grandma Fenton this weekend.  Justin drove the kids up to Bellingham, and they went to a St. Patricks Day parade together.  Ramona talked about all the candy she got to eat, and also the green balloons that she acquired.  I'll be billing grandma for the dental bill!

Yesterday Justin and I ran the St. Patricks Day Dash.  It was fun, but definitely rainy!  I think next year I'll run in the first wave, which is a little more competitive and a lot less crowded.  The wave we were in was crazy busy!  I get annoyed when people sign up for these races, in a timed wave, and then start walking five blocks into the race.

a morning in the life

Thought I'd give y'all a picture of how I often forget to eat breakfast in the morning.  Here is my thought process all morning:

Remember to eat breakfast.  Max wants out, let him out.  Remember to feed the kids.  Kids fed.  Max wants back in.  Ruby has a poopy diaper, change it.  Now, pick out clothes for her to wear.  Ramona should probably be in clothing too, go through the rigorous picking out clothes with a three-year old process.  Ruby, don't put your shoe in the toilet!  That reminds me, I should shower.  Find a place where the children won't kill each other while I shower.  Shower.  Brush teeth.  Put hair in most low maintenance 'do possible.  Remember to eat breakfast.  Ramona wants some milk.  Ruby has to have some too because she has to have everything her sister has.  Ruby falls down, crying.  Ruby runs into a wall, crying.  Ruby gets knocked down by Max, crying.  Max wants out.  Max wants in.  Hmmmm, I'm still in a towel.  Time to get dressed.  Uh oh, its close to the time we need to leave for school.  Must pack diaper bag.  Remember to eat breakfast.  Oh no!  The kids haven't brushed their teeth since the weekend!  Brush their teeth, and feel like a horrible mom for not paying enough attention to their oral hygiene.  Cold outside, find coats and shoes and hats and scarves for everyone.  Time to leave!  Grab piece of bread on the way out.  Yum.

Here is a picture of Ramona wearing the jumper my mom made for her.  She refuses to wear anything under it, which I guess makes it a dress.
