Big and little changes
Life is different around here with two kids. Ramona is having a little trouble adjusting, but is enjoying spending time with her dad. I spend most of my time breastfeeding or changing poopy diapers, but it is a glamorous life compared to being bossed around by a jealous and bossy 2-year old.
Ramona and Justin have been doing a lot of baking, home projects and playgroups. The only way to avoid major meltdowns is to keep her busy (the same usually goes for Justin!). I've been feeling a little better lately, and have been able to go on a short walk, and get out of the house a few times. We're planning on going on a short trick-or-treating trip this afternoon, and then go to some friends' house for dinner. I'm excited for my life to get a little more active now that I'm nearing the two-week recovery point. I'm less excited for the four week mark, which is when Justin goes back to work and I take on this crew on my own. Yikes!

Welcome Ruby Lee Fenton
Ruby Lee Fenton is the newest addition to the Fenton family! She is healthy and beautiful and is even letting us sleep a little. She is taking to breastfeeding like a champ, so she is already well fed. We are going home from the hospital this afternoon, and are looking forward to Ramona and Ruby spending more time together. Thanks for all of your well wishes, more pictures soon!

Pumpkin "Patch"
We were planning on going on our yearly pumpkin patch trip today, but it was pouring rain and we didn't want the kids tromping through the mud. So, we did an urban version, by going to the University Farmers market. Ramona and Bea had fun playing with the pumpkins in the bins anyways, and I don't think they missed the hayride. The important thing is that we followed through with the tradition of going to Red Robin afterwards.

Park and painting project
We went to Carkeek Park yesterday, where we played soccer, played on the playground, went on a little hike to collect leaves, and walked on the beach. It was the perfect morning to go to the park, because we basically had the whole park to ourselves, save a few other parents of toddlers. There were some better pictures of us hiking, but all of them included me huffing and puffing up the trail, and I just couldn't put those unflattering pictures up. I'll post another picture of pregnant me in a more flattering light soon. I only have 17 days to go until baby #2 is going to arrive, so I don't have TOO much time left.
The other pictures depict Ramona helping Justin out with his epic painting project. Even with Ramona's help, its a slow-going project. He has finally started painting, after months of scraping, sanding, and shingle replacing. Hopefully he finishes before the baby comes!
